Showtime to Air Documentary on Vivid's 'Debbie Does Dallas' Remake

LOS ANGELES — Showtime will air a seven-part documentary that follows Vivid's upcoming remake of "Debbie Does Dallas." Tentatively titled "Debbie Does Dallas Again," the documentary premieres March 9 at 11 p.m. and will air in 30-minute installments.

Chris May, supervising producer of "Debbie Does Dallas Again," said that Showtime plans to augment the documentary with a full website and lots of extra footage.

"It'll be behind the scenes of behind the scenes," he told XBIZ. "We're going to feature longer interviews with smaller characters on the web. There's going to be lots of complementary material with the documentary. We're going to make sure of that."

May said that the documentary has no credited director. Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, who co-directed the triple-X-themed documentary "Inside Deep Throat" are co-executive producers for "Debbie Does Dallas Again."

Vivid's remake of "Debbie Does Dallas" is directed by Paul Thomas and stars Stefani Morgan as Debbie. "Britney Rears 3" star Hillary Scott appears in a dual role.

"I play the ugliest cheerleader -- with glasses, and I dress like a complete idiot," Scott told XBIZ. "Eventually, I get a makeover, though." Scott said she gets reborn as the reincarnation of Debbie.
